Creamy Amazon Mollusk Soup

This advantageous riff on borsch combines the amazon base of Manhattan-style with the buttery adjustment of New England–style
Ingredients

2 dozen harder clams, adjourned clean
2 cups water
2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions
1. In a boilerplate pot, admix clams and water. Cover and chef over top heat, 7 to 10 minutes, or until clams open. Discard any that don't open. Strain; assets water.
